The Game Keeper at Alana Estate

The Game Keeper Restaurant @ Alana Estate is open for sumptuous winery lunches every weekend as well as mid-week get away's - Tuesday and Wednesday's from 11.30am to 3.30pm.
Also opening on April, Friday the 13th, for dinner - in the French style of Plate du Soir and lounging in the Winter bar.

Plat du Soir is a very old institution in the restaurants of France, it literally translates as 'Plate of the evening'.
Each night we will offer an entree, main and dessert for a very reasonable set menu price.  This may be Seafood chowder followed by Lamb shanks, then green-gage crumble for dessert OR Rillette (a coarse pate) followed by Cassoulet with Apricot Tart Tartin.
The Plat du Soir will change every day with a small 'starter' menu available as well. Vegetarian options always available.

After dinner relax in the barrel room. We'll be converting it into a lounge. Sink into a comfy easy chair with a distinctive Alana Pinot noir, or the recently released Alana 2011 Riesling. Nibble on our fabulous cheese board while playing scrabble with your friends.

Weekend lunching, as always at The Game Keeper, is a treat, our famous signature winery platter is always changing and evolving. But the constant on it still continues to be the house smoked salmon, cured salmon and rabbit rillette.
Or the duo of duck - a visual symphony to assist in the delicate and subtle tastes of the duck with pumpkin puree. Incredible!

We are also hosting Wine maker degustations with the first one coming very soon.
Private functions are our specialty like our food - amazing.
